Job description

Making Cents International is seeking qualified Financial Inclusion Consultants for anticipated opportunities globally. Consultants will advise on financial inclusion strategies based on international best practice and emerging trends in digital finance and provide technical assistance to financial institutions, fintechs, and other partners to increase financial inclusion for a variety of target groups, including SMEs, women, youth, and small-holder farmers. Responsibilities Responsibilities could include : Advise on approaches to strengthen and expand inclusive finance mechanisms Conduct access to finance assessments to understand the financial system as it applies to specific target groups, considering supply- and demand-side issues, as well as supporting norms and regulations Inform the development of innovative strategies to respond to key issues at the financial system, financial institution, and / or individual firm / client level Provide technical assistance to financial institution and fintech partners to develop inclusive financial products Communicate and coordinate regularly with Making Cents’ technical staff based in the United States Contribute to work plans, assessments, and reports as requested Other duties as assigned Qualifications Master’s Degree in a relevant field and 12 years of experience; OR Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field and 18 years of experience Experience working on the financial inclusion of SMEs, women, youth, and / or other marginalized groups globally Excellent communication and organization skills Excellent computer skills (MS Office Suite) Fluency in English Making Cents International is a certified B Corporation, founded on the principles of social entrepreneurship.
