Job description

Senior Structural Engineer

Agilus Work Solutions seeks a experienced Senior Structural Engineer to design and oversee commercial building projects in Edmonton, Alberta.

Overview

This full‑time, permanent role covers projects ranging from $3M to $80M, typically lasting 3–9 months. Clients expect 1–2 week turnaround for shop drawings.

Benefits

Base salary : $110,000 – $130,000 annually
Discretionary bonus tied to individual and company performance

Responsibilities

Communicate effectively with owners, architects and contractors to convey design intent, project direction, timelines and cost estimates.

Develop and maintain department procedures, ensuring documentation standards are met.

Track and provide input on multiple projects simultaneously.

Produce permit drawings, manage permitting process and construction phases.

Specialize in commercial building design.

Qualifications

10–12 years in commercial, multi‑dwelling, and institutional structural engineering (wood, concrete, steel, masonry).

Minimum five years of management or leadership experience.

Experience designing works, providing structural details and preparing specifications.

Proficient with structural modeling software (ETABS, SAFE, S‑Frame).

Proven track record managing multiple projects from conception to completion.

Registered P.Eng. with APEGA.
