Accounting Technician – Public Accounting (Full-Time, Hybrid)

Location : Calgary, AB

Salary : $50,000 to $70,000

About the Opportunity

Our client, a well-respected and growing public accounting firm in Calgary, is looking to add a strong Accounting Technician to their team. This role is perfect for someone who is not pursuing the CPA designation , but who enjoys public practice work and wants to grow in a technical, hands-on accounting role.

You'll work closely with a collaborative team of professionals and contribute to a range of engagements from compilations and reviews to corporate and personal tax files. If you're detail-oriented, technically solid, and enjoy working directly with clients, this could be a great long-term fit.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare year-end working paper files for compilation and review engagements
• Complete T2 corporate tax returns and ensure compliance with current tax laws
• Prepare T1 personal tax returns for a variety of clients
• Handle preparation of T4 and T5 slips
• Communicate with clients to request information and provide updates
• Maintain accurate records and ensure proper documentation for all files
• Collaborate with the broader accounting team to support engagement timelines and client service
