Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Truss Designer, based in Stonewall, MB. The Truss Designer will be responsible for creating and reviewing truss designs, interpreting architectural drawings, and collaborating with customers to ensure their project specifications are met. Daily tasks include analyzing structural engineering requirements, utilizing design software to develop layouts, and providing technical support to clients and the production team. The role also involves ensuring compliance with design codes and maintaining quality standards.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of truss systems, timber materials, and construction methodologies
• Proficient in reading and interpreting architectural drawings
• Understanding of structural engineering principles as they relate to truss design
• Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with clients and team members
• Experience with computer-aided design (CAD) software or other related design tools
• Attention to detail and accuracy in technical work
• Degree or certification in Engineering, Architecture, or a related field is an asset
