We are looking for an experienced Senior Financial Analyst to join our team in Winnipeg, Manitoba. In this long-term contract position, you will play a pivotal role in supporting financial processes, including reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis, within a dynamic non-profit environment. Responsibilities :
- Prepare accurate financial reports, budgets, forecasts, and analysis to support departmental operations.
- Review and reconcile general ledger accounts, making necessary adjustments or corrections.
- Provide guidance and recommendations to stakeholders and budget holders regarding financial inquiries.
- Analyze payroll, salaries, and benefits data, updating projections and implementing adjustments as needed.
- Support both internal and external audits by preparing documentation and addressing audit requests.
- Maintain detailed records of financial processes while identifying opportunities for efficiency improvements.
- Participate in monthly, quarterly, and year-end close activities, ensuring all deadlines are met.
- Develop and distribute budget templates, assisting stakeholders with annual budget submissions.
- Build and update financial models, leveraging Power BI to create and maintain dashboards for operational and financial reporting.
- Handle ad-hoc financial reporting and analysis requests from senior management.
- Extensive experience with financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting processes.
- Proficiency in business systems, including CRM and Confluence, with the ability to analyze and enhance operational workflows.
- Strong knowledge of data mining techniques and advanced analytics tools such as Power BI.
- Expertise in creating financial models and performing ad-hoc analysis.
- Familiarity with PowerBI for financial and operational reporting.
- Solid understanding of payroll, salaries, and benefits analysis.
- Proven ability to manage audit processes and maintain compliance with financial regulations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with stakeholders.
