Base pay range : CA$21.50 / hr - CA$23.00 / hr

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Completes assigned work orders for general repair within assigned time frame to achieve operational efficiency.
• Performs systematic checks and inspections to aid upkeep and assist the proactive maintenance program.
• Immediately and courteously responds to guests' needs to repair / resolve room maintenance requests and problems.
• Maintains tools, workspaces and equipment in safe, secure condition to reduce accidents and prolong use.
• Cuts room keys on automatic key cutter; repairs / changes room locks for security.
• Adjusts and repairs electronic problems on hotel equipment, including televisions.
• Assists department in maintaining safety equipment and emergency procedures for guest and employee safety.
• Maintains a friendly, cheerful, courteous manner at all times.
• All other duties as assigned by management.
• Shifts may vary to reflect business needs.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Education / Formal Training / Certifications

High school education or equivalent preferred.

Experience

Minimum of 6 months in a similar position.

Basic hand tools (hammer, screwdriver, pliers) and power tools (electric drill, saw, solder), painting equipment, key cutting machine, groundskeeping and snow removal equipment, two‑way radio, iPod.
