Job Title : Server Side-Backend Developer

Contract Duration : 12+ Months

Work Type : Hybrid - 2 days / week onsite

Location : Toronto, ON

Job Summary :

We are seeking a highly skilled Server Side-Backend Developer with strong experience in Spark, Spring Boot, and Big Data technologies. You will be working on a critical liquidity risk platform, developing enhancements and ensuring regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Backend Development : Design, develop, and maintain backend services using Java, Spring Boot, and other relevant technologies.
  • Big Data Processing : Utilize Spark to process large volumes of data from various sources.
  • Microservices Architecture : Design and implement microservices-based solutions.
  • API Integration : Integrate with various APIs and data sources.
  • Performance Optimization : Optimize application performance and scalability.
  • Regulatory Compliance : Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, particularly 2052a.
  • Problem-Solving : Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
    • Qualifications :
  • Required :

Strong proficiency in Java and Spring Boot

  • Extensive experience with Apache Spark
  • Experience with Big Data technologies (Hadoop, Hadoop ecosystem)
  • Knowledge of SQL and database technologies
  • Experience with API development and integration
  • Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills
  • Preferred :

    • Experience with Camunda or other workflow engines

  • Knowledge of Kafka and other messaging systems
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
  • Understanding of financial services and regulatory requirements
