What you’ll do :
Show respect for cultural needs, dignity, privacy and confidentiality of staff and clientsCoach and mentor clinical supervisors on their role in overseeing care delivery and on how to support front line team members and patients and their familiesMonitor care and service delivery performance and clinical indicatorsParticipate in the interviewing, orientation, ongoing supervision, and performance management of clinical supervisorsEnsure completion of all mandatory training and skill developmentCreate and maintain the on-call schedule for clinical SupervisorsRespond to clinical concerns from staff, contractors, funders, clients and familiesReview all client safety incidents and participate in the investigation and resolutionProvide clinical leadership at the districtProvide oversight of CQI activities related to care and service including staff participation and problem-solving teamsEnsure compliance to ParaMed policies, procedures and legal requirements for yourself and all staffParticipates in necessary care conferences with Health Care team, Contractors and fundersWork collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary team consisting of government agencies, healthcare workers, and other community resourcesDemonstrate continuous learning and professional development through involvement in conferences, committees and networksWhat you bring :
Registration / licensing in good standing as a Registered Nurse or Registered Practical Nurse with provincial regulatory collegeBScN preferredMinimum of three (3) years in a formal nursing leadership role requiredMinimum of 2 years’ experience as a practicing Registered Nurse, in a community settingCertification in Community Health Nursing with CNA certification preferredMembership with the Registered Nurses Association of Ontario (RNAO) preferredWorking knowledge of applicable health care legislation including Mental Health Act, Substitute Decisions Act, Healthcare Consent Act, Privacy / Personal Health Information Act and othersKnowledge of standards of care for palliative, wound, IV therapy and other specialties in order to offer guidance on best practices in these areasSuperior oral and written communication skills to effectively interact with clients, families, contractors, and staff to resolve conflictsEffective skills in critical thinking and problem solvingFlexibility in hours worked in order to accommodate operational needsKnowledge of applicable community resources available for clients and familiesCurrent certification (within the past 12 months) of First Aid, CPR, completed within CanadaExcellent computer skills including experience in Word and ExcelAble to provide a current, clear criminal back check with Vulnerable Position Screening (VPS)Time Type : Full time
