Title and banding will be based on education and experience of the candidates.
This is a 16-month temporary full-time salaried position starting in May 2026. This position is not available for remote work.
This position will be posted from January 15 2026 - January 30 2026.
What Youll Do:
- Gain experience in both microseismic monitoring and in-mine geophysical techniques.
- Contribute to the GeoServices team in providing quality geophysical support to potash mining operations.
- Assist with various duties including:
- Supportmicroseismic event workflow. This will be focused on event review and reports.
- Data analysis.
- Installation and management of geophysical sensors.
- Geophysical data acquisition: mainly Ground Penetrating Radar but may also include Electromagnetic or Seismic Reflection/Refraction.
- Some travel maybe required.
- Occasionally work in underground mines.
- Some longer than normal workdays may be required.
What Youll Bring:
- Must have completed successfully an undergraduate degree in Geophysics Geology Mine Engineering Environmental Sciences Geological Engineering Engineering Physics or other earth sciences degree (or equivalent) program at an accredited post-secondary institution by the end of April 2026 or earlier.
- Willingness to learn and gain knowledge and experience through training.
- Excellent interpersonal teamwork and communication skills.
- Motivation to set and achieve goals take initiative and nurture projects forward.
- Ability to multi-task and handle changing priorities.
- Alignment with Nutriens purpose and values.
- Preference will be given to candidates with mining or heavy industrial experience and/or with data analytics experience.
