Inventory Planner (Aerospace)

The Inventory Planner role is designed to support the Aftermarket Spares Forecasting Planning team by providing inventory reports, analysis, data and assist in decisions making, provide guidance with data on hand (Inventory numbers, receipts, run rates, replacement rates, campaigns, significant supply disruption, SIOP changes, while working closely with them to meet the Inventory numbers.

As part of responsibilities, the Inventory Planner role is accountable for the inventory on hand and plans to reduce and optimize inventory.

The inventory Planner is expected to understand the different inventory types, (Safety Stock, Excess, cycle, Over cycle, S’Sed, slow moving and provide plans and participate in workshops to optimize the inventory (Re-allocation, repurpose, Scrap .

Working closely with the SPS inventory manager, the inventory planner is asked to forecast inventory at the end of each month, understand the inventory headwind and propose mitigation plans.

Proficient in Power Point and Excel as well as a good communicator, the individual will be asked to support Executive level meetings and discuss the status of our inventory.

Finally, the individual will be pulled on to support various projects in connection with this role or as a support to the organization.

Plans, designs and executes activities that are directly related to the physical creation of UTC products and the functional operation of UTC facilities.

Contains professional and para-professional disciplines. Creates and executes plan for every part and maintain master data for purchased parts, sub-assemblies, end items and other parts as required.

Facilitates the capacity management process, including identification and escalation of long term capacity gaps to ensure successful execution of customer demands in support of SI&OP.

Executes continuous management of the master demand schedule, including adherence to all required validations using the best information available, in order to provide long range OE and aftermarket demand visibility in support of financial planning, internal and external capacity management, and the overall SI&OP process.

Monitors the transportation and delivery of inter / intraplant parts and outbound finished products

Main Responsibilities :

• The inventory planner will be making strategic recommendations based on findings and data analysis pulled from internal data bases.
• This person needs to be strong in data management skills Tabulating data, Analyzing it and making concrete recommendations to the team who will be planning the forecast.
• They need to have an understanding of forecasting and the basic concepts. For instance, they will be determining dead inventory, buffer stock, cycle counts, etc...
• The person will be extracting raw data from SAP and using Excel / PowerBI to draw conclusions about the inventory levels.

They need to be able to challenge the data and make recommendations about non-healthy inventory and how to address the concerns.

• This person will be working with others in the team. They are not making decisions, acting more as a consultant to Planners.
• This person will be supporting all Planners (15x Planners) across all the markets.

Must haves :

• Bachelor’s with 5-10 years of experience or Master’s with 4-7 years of experience. Preferred experience : Inventory Management, Supply Chain, Data Analysis, SIOP, Finance. Industrial Engineers.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and teamwork abilities
• Strong Excel skills Advanced Excel

Asset :

• SAP / PowerBI Experience
• Internships, Aerospace / Manufacturing experience
• French communication skills

Work Hours :

• 40 hour work week
• Monday to Friday - 8 : 30-4 : 30pm
• Hybrid
