Job Description
We are currently looking for a Product Owner (PO) for one of our System Integration teams that supports deliveries for the communication and situation awareness infrastructure for the Canadian Army's Land Command Support System (LCSS). You will work in partnership with our customer to align on priorities. This opportunity will place you in the middle of the DND and GDMS-C facility in Ottawa where prototyping, testing, training, demonstrations, decisions and coordination happens.
As a Product Owner, you will be responsible for a team of engineers working in unison across disciplines to deliver critical capability to the Canadian Army. As a team we are proud of the work and services that we provide to our customer and end user.
In this role, no two days are the same! Working primarily in a lab environment, you can expect to
Collaborate directly with the customer for scope definition and prioritizationDevelop a close working relation across all Integrated Solution Teams and Engineering discipline Implement / develop plans to support characterization and assessment of baselines prior to delivery to the customerSupport offsite events, training and validation exercisesLead a team of motivated engineers.Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or MathematicsMinimum 8 years of relevant experience in the specified fieldPositive approach to learning and trying new things.Excellent communication abilitiesThorough understanding of the product development life cycle and associated processesKnowledge and experience with engineering and System Integration Verification & Validation process, including Agile and Engineering Development Framework.Experience in defining, developing and executing integration tests for complex functionality, and understanding the interdependencies and interactions between subsystems.Experience in the investigation, recommendations, and resolution of complex defects.Experience in development of test automation scriptsKnowledge of Army structure, operational concepts, and systems would be an assetMust be able to obtain and maintain Canadian Security Clearance and a positive Controlled Goods Assessment. Eligibility to work in Canada either as a Canadian Citizen or Permanent Resident.Additional Information
