Job description

You as a Boiler Technician will :

  • Perform various maintenance and repair work on boilers such as : 1) Cleaning of the water and fire sides; 2) Replacement of water a fire sides gaskets; 3) Lubrification of the burners and boiler components; 4) Burner optimization.
  • Perform limit and combustion testing on boilers.
  • Assure compliance with combustion emission standards.
  • Assure compliance of boiler-related equipment with oil and natural gas standards.
  • Complete maintenance and service reports on boilers.
  • Perform troubleshooting of defective equipment.
  • Repair and replace defective parts on burners, fuel trains, controllers and boilers.
  • Maintain equipment files documenting all work completed.
  • Maintain an orderly and safe work environment.

Is this the right role for you?

  • Minimum of five (5) years of pertinent experience with boilers and combustion.
  • Gas and Oil Burner experience in industrial / commercial industry settings.
  • Knowledge of electrical equipment and troubleshooting of electrical components.
  • Reading and understanding of drawings (electrical and mechanical).
  • Experience in mechanical piping and ability to trouble shoot mechanical equipment.
  • Knowledge of regulations TSSA & ESA.
  • Valid TSSA G1 Gas license and OBT Oil License.
