Amazon is hiring smart machine learning engineers (MLE) for developing an exciting product for our advertising line of business.

Key job responsibilities

We are looking for a highly skilled MLEs to join our Sponsored Products Supply team. Our team focuses on enabling merchants, retail vendors, and brand owners to increase their product sales on Amazon through native product advertising.

To accomplish this, we tackle complex engineering challenges, optimization tasks, econometric analysis, and user-experience problems to deliver relevant product ads on Amazon search pages worldwide.

As a software development engineer, you will play a pivotal role in our team. Your primary responsibility will be leading initiatives to develop large-scale distributed systems and data processing pipelines.

You will enhance the shopping experience for Amazon customers through innovative features on the search page. In addition, you will have the opportunity to mentor and guide other engineers, amplifying the overall impact of our team.

Another aspect of your role will involve creating a widget framework that empowers our science team to optimize the shopping experience.

You will have end-to-end ownership, from designing and building to operating critical customer-facing functionalities.

About the team

This team in Amazon Ads creates a huge impact for both Amazon and our customers. This team develops a variety of ads features that impacts Amazon Search Page.

The tech stack is advanced and we solve one of most difficult problems of software engineering.

We are open to hiring candidates to work out of one of the following locations :

Toronto, ON, CAN

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
  • 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
  • Experience programming with at least one software programming language

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
