Job Title – Senior IT Business Analyst

About the Role
We are seeking a Senior IT Business Analyst to support priority digital and modernization initiatives for the Our Client's– Primary and Preventative Health Services . The successful candidate will provide advanced business analysis and technical requirements expertise, working across multiple concurrent initiatives to ensure business needs are accurately translated into high-quality technical solutions within a complex healthcare environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end business analysis activities including requirements elicitation, analysis, validation, and documentation
- Analyze and document complex business processes, workflows, and use cases across health and administrative systems
- Translate business and operational needs into clear, actionable technical specifications for architecture, development, and delivery teams
- Collaborate with solution architects, technical teams, and business stakeholders to ensure alignment with operational and technical constraints
- Evaluate new service and technology requests, assess impacts, and provide recommendations to support modernization initiatives
- Support proof-of-concepts, system enhancements, replacements, and limited production rollouts
- Provide quality oversight during implementations and ensure compliance with change management and governance processes
- Identify risks, issues, and dependencies, and recommend mitigation strategies
- Produce regular status reporting, deliverable tracking, and documentation as required
Mandatory Skills & Qualifications
6+ years of experience identifying, documenting, and managing business and technical requirements5+ years of experience planning and facilitating requirements gathering workshops with operational and senior stakeholders5+ years of experience supporting design, development, and implementation of complex, multi-vendor IT solutionsStrong experience translating business needs into technical specifications for delivery teamsExcellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical audiencesExperience working within Canadian healthcare environmentsStrong understanding of health information legislation and privacy frameworks (e.g., HIA, Electronic Health Regulation, or equivalent)Preferred Skills
Degree or diploma in Business, IT, or a related field, or CBAP certificationExperience supporting provincial EHR / EMR systems (e.g., Alberta Netcare or community EMR platforms)Experience contributing to RFP documentation and procurement processesBackground in business case development, feasibility studies, and alternative analysisExperience with FOIP, information management, privacy, and security conceptsStrong facilitation experience and ability to lead cross-functional stakeholder sessionsExperience designing and transitioning new IT services from concept through operational handoverWhy Join Us
