Corporate Controller - Energy - Up to 125K

Our client in the Energy industry has an exciting opportunity to be a member of the group senior leadership team as the Controller. The person will work closely with the VP, Finance and other senior team members in providing financial support and analysis.

Responsibilities
Reporting to the Finance Senior Director, the Corporate Controller is a key member of the Finance leadership team, overseeing all aspects of financial accounting and external reporting.

What you will do:
- Oversee and manage the accounting team to ensure accurate and compliant operations.
- Develop and implement internal policies, procedures and controls to ensure regulatory compliance and accuracy of financial data.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements to provide accurate and timely information to management.
- Manage the budget process, including budget preparation, monitoring and analysis.
- Monitor the company's cash flow and manage debt collection activities.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure consistency and efficiency of financial operations.
- Participate in the development of financial strategies and provide advice to management to support the growth and profitability of the business.
- Conduct internal audits to assess risks and improve internal processes.
- All other related tasks

Qualifications
-Bachelor degree in finance or accounting with a CPA designation considered an asset
-Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify trends, patterns, and insights from financial data
- In-depth knowledge of accounting principles and financial standards.
-Exceptional communication in French and English and interpersonal skills, with an ability to build strong relationships and collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders
-Ability to work in a fast paced, high-pressure, ever changing environment
