6-month contract Cloud Engineer role with a growing cybersecurity team with a global organization

What & Why:

As a result of investment in technology our global enterprise organization is looking to add a Cloud Engineer to their cybersecurity team. This role is building and securing cloud infrastructure for a retail/eCommerce team, with a heavy focus on identity and access management. You'll be working in Azure (primarily) to configure authentication systems, manage user permissions, automate workflows, and ensure the right people have the right access to the right systems, without creating security gaps. You’ll be keeping the cloud environment running smoothly while locking down who gets in and what they can touch. Documentation and SOPs are a big part of the job, so clarity and compliance matter as much as the technical build.

They have an all-star leadership team who keeps you accountable and provides support while still affording you tremendous autonomy. They are located close to rapid transit in newly renovated offices in downtown Vancouver and have an in office work arrangement, 4 days a week in office.

You:

You will bring the following education, skills and experience to the role:

• 6+ years in Cloud Engineering, DevOps, or Security with hands-on Azure experience (AWS is a plus but Azure is required).
• Strong knowledge of Identity and Access Management (IAM) and security principles, including RBAC, PAM, and best practices.
• Experience with cloud configuration and authentication technologies: SAML, OIDC, Conditional Access, Azure Automation, Logic Apps, and user/group management.
• Background developing solutions for retail or eCommerce businesses, ideally with exposure to supply chain, logistics, or manufacturing environments.

Compensation:

This role pays between $75-90 per hour.
