Registered Nurse (RN) – Part-Time (Operating Room/ACC)

Status: Part Time

Department: Operating Room/ACC

Salary: $40.24 to $57.68 (hourly)

Location: Hospital

Required Qualifications:

• Current Certificate of Competence from the College of Nurses of Ontario
• Minimum of two (2) years current Operating Room/Recovery Room experience or recognized Peri-operative Certificate
• ACLS Certification and performance competence

Abilities/Skills/Knowledge:

• Knowledge of, and willingness to support SJGHEL’s Mission, Vision & Values of Compassion, Humility & Harmony, Respect, Integrity, Social Responsibility and The Sacredness of Life
• Ability to rotate through roles of circulating nurse, recovery room nurse, charge nurse, day surgery and participate in the regular on-call rotation
• Ability to endure periods of prolonged standing
• Ability to collaborate with the surgical team and MDRD
• Ability to ensure appropriate staffing compliments, as well as educating and mentoring new staff
• Proficiency in IV therapy
• Computer literacy and electronic health records documentation
