Hotel Equities, a multi-award-winning hotel development and hospitality management company, is currently searching for a remarkable Houseperson / Housekeeper for the Stoneridge Mountain Resort, Canmore AB.
Job Purpose :
This Position will include shifts as both Houseperson and Housekeeper based on demands of the resort. Your objective will be to maximize customer satisfaction by providing a clean and comfortable environment for our guests.
Responsibilities / Houseperson
- Greets guests and responds to special requests.
- Sweep, mop, vacuum common areas including lobby, hallways, public bathrooms, fitness center, offices, and housekeeping department
- Empties garbage’s in all common areas including pool and outside receptacles
- Responsible for keeping entrances front and back of resort clean and clear of debris, must check daily, vacuum rugs and empty garbage’s.
- Daily outdoor walk-through ensuring sidewalks are clear. May need to sweep in summer and clear snow in winter
- Receiving linens from Fairmont Laundry, stocking shelves
- Room deliveries for guest request and VIP rooms
- Coordinates tasks with related departments such as front desk, maintenance
- Ensures all guests are being treated in an efficient and courteous manner and that all Company standards are being applied
- Reports maintenance issues if needed
- Documents daily tasks on tracking sheet
- Perform other assignments as directed by Housekeeping Supervisor
- Adhere to all work rules, procedures and policies established by the company including, but not limited to those contained in the associate handbook.
- Responsibilities / Housekeeping
- Clean Rooms - Clean and reset guest bedroom and bathroom areas according to established standards including
- Bed-Making
- Vacuuming Carpets and Mopping Floors
- Dusting and Wiping Walls and Ceilings
- Cleaning Mirrors, Windows, Toilet, Vents, Vanity, Bathtub and Shower Curtains
- Cleaning Guest Room Furniture, Refrigerator, Microwave, Coffee Maker and Phones
- Follow correct procedures for entering a guest room.
- Use chemicals, cleaners, and cleaning equipment properly.
- Stock and maintain housekeeping cart and linen storage room.
- Report maintenance issues.
- Updates front desk accordingly.
- Ensures the completion of short notice requests for room changes.

Work experience as a Room Attendant or Houseman / Houseperson is requiredExperience with industrial cleaning equipment and productsGood physical health and staminaFlexibility to work in shiftsAbility to work with little or no supervision while meeting high-performance standardsExcellent organization skillsAbility to follow instructionsHigh school diploma is a plusThis is the perfect job for someone who likes to clean, has an impeccable eye for detail and thrives in a self-directed work situation. This position involves continuous movement, regularly bending, lifting, pushing, pulling, carrying, and moving up to 25-50 pounds. We look for flexibility with workdays and hours, including working weekends and holidays.
