The City of Steinbach is looking for an Aquatic Centre Manager who is responsible for the operation and programming of the Aquatic Centre. This position reports to the Manager, Parks & Recreation and supervises Aquatic and Customer Service employees.
Responsibilities
- Manage the team and organizational structure for accountability and efficiency
- Anticipate and forecast the Centre’s needs and requirements
- Develop, organize and manage Aquatic Centre programming
- Develop and implement aquatic guidelines, policies and procedures
- Perform budgeting and financial planning
- Coordinate promotion and advertising facility programs
- Ensure all legal, legislative and safety requirements are met
- Prepare reports, performance reviews, and operational documents
- Maintain high standard of customer service and respond to public inquiries or concerns
Qualifications
Minimum three years of demonstrated experience in staff supervision of an aquatic or recreation facility, including programming and schedulingWorking knowledge of aquatic or recreation facility operation, planning and administrationSuperior public relations, organizational and time management skillsAbility to promote and foster a team-based environmentSuperior facilitation and conflict resolution skillsAbility to work independently and to complete necessary tasksKnowledge of first aid, life safety and workplace safetyExcellent communication skillsMust be available for some evening and weekend shiftsThe City of Steinbach encourages a work / life balance and promotes lifelong learning.
