Position Title :

Embedded Software DevSecOps Engineer

Employment Type :

Student – Co‑op / Intern

Location : Ottawa, ON – Onsite

Term :

8 months (May 2026 – Dec 2026) or 4 months (May 2026 – Aug 2026)

Pay Range : $24–35 per hour

What You'll Be Doing

Contributing to the ongoing development of automated solutions for our next‑generation optical transport products.

Solving complex technical problems.

Working in close collaboration with the Firmware R&D teams.

Improving the quality and robustness of firmware and hardware tests.

Qualifications

Education :

2nd, 3rd, or 4th year student pursuing a degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent.

Preferred experience and skills :

Desire to succeed and to do things right the first time.

Strong problem‑solving skills.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Strong object‑oriented software design and implementation (any language).

Experience with Git, GitHub, Bash, PowerShell, ChatGPT, Copilot, C#, Python, JavaScript, XML, gRPC, Jira.

Experience in instrumentation and automation.

Understanding of optical systems.

Experience with optical instruments and optical fibers.
