THE OPPORTUNITY
To ensure our continued growth and unprecedented success BVGlazing is looking for an energetic and self-motivated individual to join our Operations team.This will be a day shift position.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Performing preventative maintenance on machinery and mechanical equipment such as motors pneumatic tools automated cutting forming and machining centers and related equipment.
- Ability to follow manufacturer instructions: diagrams sketches operations manuals and engineering specifications.
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment following all safety and operational procedures and policies.
- Communicate with Supervisors and Management advising of updates on machinery as well as any safety concerns or violations.
- Troubleshooting any issues or malfunctions locating sources of mechanical problems by observing listening and using devices as appropriate as they arise.
- Controlling downtime by advising ahead of time tools machinery and equipment that require work and will be unavailable for a period of time.
- Ability to fabricate parts to repair or replace existing parts utilizing machine shop tools and equipment
- Control inventories for equipment parts and supplies and anticipate what supplies may be needed.
- Maintain records of all maintenance preventative predictive and otherwise.
- Set schedules of required preventative maintenance.
- Participate as a team member contributing to the overall goals of the department and the company in general.
WHAT WERE LOOKING FOR
- 3-5 years experience in similar capacity
- Licensed Industrial Mechanic (is considered an asset)
- Knowledge of electrical systems equipment controls and repair methodology
- Capable of reading and understanding operating and repair instructions
- Able to work independently or as part of a team
- Attention to detail
- Thrives in a fast paced deadline driven environment
