Grande Yellowhead Public School Division is inviting applications for the Temporary Position of Mental Health Capacity Building (B.
E.S.T.) Wellness / Success Coach in Jasper, AB. Duties will commence immediately and continue until March 19, 2026, or upon the return of the incumbent, whichever happens sooner.

Job Summary and Core Competencies :
The MHCB Success Coach reports to the MHCB Program Manager and provides addiction and mental health promotion and prevention to children, youth, and families through Tier 1 universal programming.
This position develops and delivers developmentally appropriate, evidence-based programming that meets the objectives of the MHCB initiative.
Responsibilities include :
- Delivering programming in schools and community settings.
- Working with school staff, parents, and community members to increase knowledge and skills related to mental health and illness issues.
- Identifying and facilitating access for individuals needing referrals to specialized addiction and mental health services.
- Ensuring compliance with HIA (Health Information Act) and FOIPP.
- Assisting with evaluation activities and survey data collection as required by AHS.
Qualifications and Work Experience :
The ideal candidate will have :
- A related post-secondary degree or diploma in social sciences (preferred).
- At least 2 years of working experience in addiction and mental health or health / human services (experience as a practicum student considered).
- Knowledge of addiction and mental health services.
- Experience with delivering programming and public speaking.
- Strong relationship-building and effective time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
All employees must provide a criminal record check. Regulated health professions must provide proof of licensure or registration with the approved Alberta regulatory college prior to commencing duties.
