CAD Technician

Role Description

Reporting to the Director and working under the guidance of Project Engineer, the CAD Technician works as a member of the Engineering team, creating customer deliverables from various sources of data, primarily the Field team.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Generate drawings to customer specifications and industry standards using existing map data and new surveyed data.
• Participate in the creation and development of data management standards within multiVIEW.
• Generate and collate coherent data archives using customer supplied data and other sources of subsurface conditions.
• Working with the Field team and the Survey Technicians in particular, create clear, standard work and data requests.
• Interpret and map field supplied data.
• Other duties as assigned.

Skills & Qualifications

• 2-4 years survey/CAD experience (MicroStation)
• Post-Secondary Geomatics Diploma from an accredited technical school
• Related field experience is an asset
• Knowledge of and experience in the use of GIS systems
• Collaborative team player
