POSITION OVERVIEW :

North Western Property Maintenance (northwesternpm.com) is looking for upbeat, reliable and organized Landscape Construction Field Manager  for full time employment in Surrey BC.

We are a fast growing company that specializes in synthetic grass installation and distribution and are looking for people who are willing to learn and grow every day.

In the Winter we have an industry leading salting and plowing division. This is a great opportunity to earn big bucks as pay is increased on our Winter work days!

JOB STATEMENT :

Reporting to the Operations Controller, the Field Manager is responsible for scheduling and managing their team, maintaining vehicles and vehicle tools, communicating with customers, completing jobs from start to finish and updating information in Jobber.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :

Specific duties to support the above areas may include but are not limited to :

Participating in and contributing to morning meetings & 3S activities.

Operating gas powered equipment, 3 ton trucks, dump trailers and skid steers

Removing sod, installing synthetic grass, installation of foundation, paving stones and decks and using powered equipment when site allows

Perform setup and cleanup tasks at the job site.

Load and unload supplies and / or garbage / recyclables to and from vehicles.

Delivering refuse (sod, garbage, recyclables) to dumps or recycling depots.

Ensure the worksite is organized and free of clutter, rubble and garbage.

Shoveling or plowing snow from walks, driveways or parking lots and spreading salt in those areas.

Drive company vehicles to and from job sites.

Complete jobs in a timely manner which strive to hit company’s goals

Have NWPM bottom line in mind and contribute to strategy and planning meetings

Teach team members and ensure they uphold all NWPM Policies and Procedures

Ensure team is upholding to our Quality standards

Promote, execute and adhere to the company’s safety program, and encourage all employees and subcontractors to adopt a safety culture.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities :

Ability to take instruction and follow directions

Able to lead a team

Able to understand general profitability on jobs

Willingness to learn

Problem solving

Exceptional Customer service

Skilled with tools and doesn't mind getting their hands dirty

Personal Attributes : Punctual, Reliable, Attention to detail, Adaptable / flexible, Positive attitude, Drug Free, Hardworking, Dependable and Honest

Valid driver's license with reliable transportation

Working Conditions : Overtime as required

Work is performed in an outdoor setting, which may include inclement weather, heat and humidity and exposure to dust and noise.

Must be physically able to repetitively lift and carry at least 50 lbs on a regular basis.

Use of Personal Protective Equipment is required, when warranted.
