Job description

Reporting to the Director, Product & Carrier Relations, the Carrier Relations Specialist will be responsible for all activities related to creating and maintaining productive relationships with Carriers in the market to provide TERAGO with competitive and quality services for our customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and retain strong working relationships with all carriers to drive for competitive pricing and continually improve costs
  • Understand and maintain a database of currently available carrier offerings, contacts, contracts, footprint etc.
  • Negotiate and manage contracts with telecom partners
  • Lead provisioning, billing, and service activities and escalations
  • Track carrier partner’s performance related to quoting, provisioning and support to proactively address challenges and confirm compliance with Service Level Agreements

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
  • Experience working in the telecommunications industry preferred
  • General knowledge of the wholesale vendor marketplace and landscape is an asset
  • Experience in carrier relations is an asset
  • Skills & Knowledge

  • Well organized and results-oriented problem solver
  • Attention to detail with a strong work ethic
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines
  • Self-motivated with strong interpersonal skills
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills, both oral and verbal
  • Effective as both an individual contributor and team player
  • Strong knowledge of contract terms is an asset
  • Technical knowledge of data networking (e.g. WAN, Internet, Ethernet), IT infrastructure, or technology deployment is an asset
  • Note : this is a contract role (1 year)
