GENERAL DESCRIPTION :
While ensuring a culture of safety and personal excellence in every aspect of maintenance, the Fleet Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for all daily activities of the maintenance facility, the fleet and employees. The Supervisor will provide training to the mechanics, including coaching and documenting discipline, when necessary. The Supervisor fosters collaboration between and among personnel and creates a culture of Servant Leadership. The supervisor coaches the team to work effectively on company-owned vehicles, perform high-quality repairs and respond to driver VCRs.

- Shift : Monday to Friday, 8am - 4 : 30pm
- Pay : Up to $100,000 / year
As a Maintenance Supervisor with us the minimum responsibilities are :
Review safety protocols and practices regularly with the maintenance team and maintenance manager to ensure adherence to the corporate safety program for all BC interior locationsReviews shop status and vehicle repairs in processAssigns repairs and tasks to techniciansAssists mechanics in troubleshooting and diagnosisConstantly reviews vehicles that are in the shop for additional repairs or unsafe conditionsWorks with Maintenance Manager to monitor shop safety and housekeepingMeet with all BC interior Facility and Ops managers to set goal and expectationsAssists in reviewing and / or road testing major or safety related repairs.Work with Maintenance Manager to manage related administrative matters for team, maintenance of employee records, records of all preventive and corrective maintenance performed, and recording of all information into RTA Maintenance Software, provide input for yearly budget for approval.Manage the Local Provincial PMP and the standards set by the PM programWHAT WE NEED FROM YOU :
Required - 3 - 4 years of experience as a general mechanic working on large diesel vehiclesRequired - Red Seal Heavy Duty Truck Mechanic or Commercial Transport Repair.2 - 3 years of supervisory experience in a lead technician role, supervisor or other management role supervising 5-10 other mechanicsThorough knowledge of safe working practices, DOT, other Federal and Provincial regulationsMust be able to communicate effectively, read, estimate, calculate, interpret, measure and document in writingBC CVI endorsementClass three (3) drivers license an assetBalance working on the floor and supervision 60% on the floor, 40% officeWHAT YOU’LL GET FROM US :
