Electrical / Instrumentation Supervisor Join our electrical operations team in SK. The Electrical / Instrumentation Supervisor will provide electrical and instrumentation leadership and services (construction, maintenance and commissioning) to our clients. What We Offer :

Job Responsibilities : Hands On / Field Technical

  • As a field working supervisor at times / as required, the E / I Supervisor will perform and support :
  • Commissioning of electrical, instrumentation and control systems
  • Construct, install, alter, repair and test all electrical power and control components, instruments, devices and equipment
  • Troubleshoot electrical power and control system
  • Workaround energized power and control equipment
  • Determine the appropriate selection of materials / tools / equipment and coordinate with management in support of procurement efforts
  • Ensure maintenance / quality / test reports and documentation are completed and filed
  • Review and maintain understanding of all project related drawings, scopes and technical documentation
  • Experienced in the use of calibration equipment, including but not limited to : HART communicators, test pumps and gauges, digital multimeters and other test and measurement equipment Supervision / Leadership
  • Supervise, coordinate, and schedule the daily activities of assigned crew(s)
  • Coach and mentor team members to support personal and team performance improvements;

  • Perform quality Field Audit / Inspection activities to meet internal and external KPI’s set out for the E / I Supervisor;
  • Work with client representatives and Shermco Electrical Services management team throughout course of assignment / project
  • Assist in planning project timelines, milestones, and deliverables using appropriate tools
  • Resolve site issues as relevant to assigned work crew and establish measures to improve productivity
  • Coordinate and facilitate site crew meetings and attend in a leadership role
  • Attend client / project scheduled meetings as required
  • Ensure all safety incidents and near misses are accurately documented in a timely manner; communicate importance of this to work crew(s) and encourage safe work practices and behaviors
  • Ensure client satisfaction throughout all aspects of assigned jobs; work to resolve concerns or issues of the customer
  • Foster positive and long-term relationships with clients
  • Work in a fast-paced environment
  • Perform other duties as assigned Qualifications :
  • Red Seal Interprovincial Electrician and / or Instrumentation & Controls Journeyperson certificate
  • Must have 5+ years experience in electrical and / or instrumentation commissioning
  • Must have 5+ years experience in supervision and possess strong leadership qualities
  • Must have 5+ years experience in industrial setting
  • Must be able to read, write, and speak English fluently
  • Must have a valid driver's license and be able to maintain a clean abstract
  • Must be available to work out-of-town and regular overnight travel
  • 7 / 7 shift with camp provided Other Requirements :
