Pharmacist for new Pharmacy

We are currently seeking a reliable and self-motivated  Staff Pharmacist  to work at our independently owned pharmacies located in  the above mentioned towns .

This is a reasonably busy pharmacy and ideal for a pharmacist who is comfortable managing daily operations independently and work as team.

Normally 2 assistants at a time are working most of the day.

Responsibilities

• Accurately dispense and verify prescription and non-prescription medications in compliance with Ontario College of Pharmacists (OCP) standards and provincial / federal regulations.
• Provide patient counseling on prescription and over-the-counter products, including proper use, side effects, interactions, and adherence support.
• Assess prescriptions for appropriateness, therapeutic effectiveness, and potential drug-related problems.
• Administer vaccines and other injections in accordance with OCP authorization.
• Renew, adapt, or prescribe medications for eligible minor ailments as per Ontario regulations.
• Maintain accurate patient records, including documentation of services provided.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient care.
• Ensure safe storage, handling, and inventory control of all medications, including controlled substances.
• Comply with all legal, ethical, and professional standards, and support continuous quality improvement initiatives.
• Use Fillware and  Kroll  software for prescription processing and patient record maintenance
• Deliver exceptional customer service and build rapport with patients

Requirements

Licensed Pharmacist in good standing with the  Ontario College of Pharmacists (OCP)
