As the Senior Manager of Brand Marketing, you’ll lead all brand marketing efforts in Canada. You’ll be the architect of Turo's Canadian brand programs—transforming how Canadians think about car rentals while building Turo into a beloved, household name. You’ll drive brand awareness, consideration, and adoption from coast to coast, balancing big-picture brand strategy with hands-on execution. You’ll own the complete brand ecosystem, including brand strategy, campaigns, influencers, social media, PR, content, and creative development, and reporting. You’ll collaborate with global teams to ensure brand consistency and relevance across channels while ensuring everything feels authentically Canadian. This role offers potential for impact as your vision and execution shape Turo's trajectory in one of our fastest-growing markets.

You're someone with a proven track record of building brands that matter and developing integrated brand programs that move the needle. You’re a strategic brand thinker and creative executor with an eye for design and storytelling.

What You Will Do

  • Refine and own Canada's brand strategy across all channels. Partner with the global brand team to craft compelling positioning and messaging for Canadian travelers.
  • Own and report on Canadian brand health metrics, set targets, and deploy budget across brand channels to maximize impact.
  • Conduct ongoing competitive and customer research to uncover actionable insights that underpin brand strategy and campaigns.
  • Develop annual roadmaps and strategic plans delivering against brand targets while aligning cross-functional teams.
  • Architect breakthrough, integrated campaigns from strategy to launch; set objectives, drive creative execution, allocate budgets, and measure impact.
  • Drive high-impact media execution across TV, digital, out-of-home, social, and audio to amplify Turo's presence and maximize reach.
  • Lead earned media strategy and PR metrics. Oversee PR agencies to secure national coverage that positions Turo prominently in Canada.
  • Transform Turo Canada's social presence into a growth engine with compelling content and strategic brand storytelling.
  • Forge strategic alliances with top-tier brands, influencers, and ambassadors to expand reach and brand affinity.
  • Capitalize on cultural moments and seasonal trends to create buzz-worthy campaigns that embed Turo in Canadian conversations.
  • Orchestrate product launches and market expansion campaigns to drive adoption of new offerings.
  • Manage creative workflows and output; coordinate internal and external creative teams and freelancers. Ensure brand consistency with the global marketing team while preserving local relevancy.
  • Build and lead a high-performing brand marketing team, fostering a collaborative culture and coaching team members.

Your profile

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field (business/marketing)
  • At least 7+ years of experience in brand management and marketing, with 4+ years in-house driving brand channels in a customer-facing B2C brand.
  • Demonstrated measurable brand lift and business impact at scale.
  • Experience strategizing, planning, and executing integrated brand campaigns from brief to execution, with targets, creative concepts, and channel strategies.
  • Strong examples of campaigns built on deep customer insights that drive business results.
  • Experience managing and scaling always-on brand channels including PR, social, and influencers with proven results.
  • Master storyteller able to craft compelling narratives across channels and match messages to the medium.
  • Experience leading a creative team or supporting creative execution. Strategic thinker with creative execution ability.
  • Natural flair for the unique, buzz-worthy, and culturally relevant ideas.
  • 2+ years managing a team; strong collaboration and bridge-building skills.
  • Deep knowledge of upper funnel vs lower funnel dynamics and how to evaluate brand channel performance.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills; ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Salary and benefits

For this role, the target base salary range in Toronto is $115,000 - $145,000 CAD annually. This role is eligible for equity and benefits. Our ranges reflect the market-based target for new hire salaries based on level and location. Within the range, pay is determined by factors such as job-related skills, experience, and education. Turo values in-office collaboration. This role will be in-office on a hybrid schedule—Turists are expected to work in the office 3 days per week (Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays). Your recruiter can share more information about in-office perks.
