Robert Half is hiring now for an experienced Senior Software Engineer for our Edmonton Client. As the successful Candidate you will work within the team will be to design, create and maintain software control systems, researching and building new tools and technologies to benefit the business products. You have experience in software development building industrial control software in real-time embedded systems, web applications, windows applications, and mobile apps. You have top-notch development ability and knowledge of cutting-edge technologies, processes, patterns, standards, and best practices and excel working in a collaborative team environment  This role is based in the Edmonton, Alberta area but is available for remote work / work from home permissions for eligible candidates.

Job Requirements : MUST HAVES :

• 3 + years’ extensive skills in a development role along with solid experience programming using C#, MSSQL and MVC
• Proficient working experience with Agile SCRUM software methodologies
• Proven success utilizing SQL, XML, Crystal Reports
• In-depth knowledge and experience of interface security including SCP, SFTP, FTP, SSL
• Working experience with Real Time Operating Systems and low level protocols such as Can bus, Modbus etc.
• Exposure to and knowledge of real world electrical sensors and hardware
• Excellent interpersonal  and communication skills to quickly understand and accurately interpret meaning, purpose and importance and communicate effectively with all levels of stakeholders
• Highly self-motivated, self-directed, and attentive to detail
• Post-secondary degree or diploma in IT or related field
