Job description

Reporting to the Manager of Engineering, the successful candidate will provide technical advice on all aspects of the Town's engineering requirements including capital works programs, roads maintenance and construction programs, infrastructure development, as well as providing engineering support to the management team, Council, and consultants. In addition, the incumbent will oversee the design, cost estimates, tender documents, project management and public consultation on Capital Works construction projects. As well as review and approve Commercial and Residential developments ensuring engineering guidelines and approved designs are met.Qualifications : An undergraduate degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline;Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation or be eligible for certification;Five (5) years' practical experience in a related engineering or municipal field;Experience working with municipalities, specifically in the design and construction of municipal infrastructure and project management, will be considered an asset;Knowledge of and experience with AutoCAD, GIS Systems & Modeling Software;Proficient in Microsoft Office : Excel, Word and PowerPoint;Strong written, oral communication and interpersonal skills; andOrganizational and strong problem solving skills.An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. The salary range for this position is $72,303.40 - $90,379.25. The deadline to apply for this position is October 4, 2024.
