GHD's Engineering Design Organization is seeking a Senior Landfill Designer in GHD’s Edmonton office.

Working with an energetic and high performing team, this position offers a variety of work and will see you involved in :

Leading and supporting detailed design of solid waste management facilities in Western Canada
Processing survey and LiDAR point clouds
Developing Civil3D models
Ensure drawings meet specifications and standards
Implement QA / QC processes for project work
Providing cut / fill volumes and material take-offs
Assisting in general design support during construction and record drawing project phases, as needed
Attending project meetings as required
Support facility planning
Mentorship and delegation to more junior designers
Work closely with the environmental specialists to support environmental approvals
Advance GHD’s Western Canada Solid Waste Management practice

What you bring to the team :

Must have successfully completed a relevant degree or diploma at an accredited polytechnic, college or university;

Minimum 15 years of design and drafting experience;

Experience with AutoCAD and Civil3D is a must;

Experience with waste facilities (. landfills, transfer stations, compost facilities), industrial facilities, civil grading and drainage, piping and utilities;

Experience with Infraworks, ReCAD and Navisworks would be considered an asset;

Experience with Revit would be considered an asset;

Positive attitude, good communication and interpersonal skills;

Excellent organization and time management skills;

Excellent written and verbal communication;

Experience within other areas of civil design (. transportation, water) would be considered an asset;

Experience with ACC (Autodesk Construction Cloud) would be considered an asset;

Experience working on multi-disciplinary design projects would be considered an asset;

Experience in consulting would be considered an asset;

Professional membership / eligibility would be considered an asset.
