Responsibilities include
- Report any safety hazards or incidents to the supervisor immediately.
Required Skills & Expertise
Machine OperationOperate CNC machines to perform tasks such as drilling, milling, turning, and cutting based on production requirements.Load and unload raw materials and finished parts into and out of the machine.Start and stop machine operation as required to complete production runs.Monitoring and Quality Control
Monitor the machine’s performance during operation to ensure consistent and accurate production.Inspect finished products using precision measuring tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers) to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.Identify and report any deviations from specifications or quality issues to the supervisor.Routine Maintenance and Troubleshooting
Perform routine maintenance tasks such as cleaning, lubricating, and adjusting the machines to ensure they operate efficiently.Detect and troubleshoot minor mechanical issues and make adjustments or repairs as needed.Collaborate with maintenance personnel for more complex repairs and preventive maintenance activities.Documentation and Reporting
Maintain accurate records of production output, machine settings, and any issues encountered during operation.Complete production logs, inspection reports, and other required documentation.Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding production status and any operational concerns.Safety and Compliance
Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.Use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required for the task at hand.Education and Experience
High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or certification in CNC machining is a plus.Minimum of 5 years experience as a CNC operator or in a relatedTechnical Skills
Basic understanding of CNC machine operation and programming.Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work instructions.Proficiency in using precision measuring tools and instruments, such as micrometers, verniers, callipers, height gauges or other specialized measuring instruments.GD&T knowledgeAnalytical and Problem-Solving Skills
Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.Basic troubleshooting skills to identify and resolve minor mechanical issues.Physical Requirements
Ability to lift and move materials and tools (up to 50 lbs).Comfortable standing for long periods and performing repetitive tasks.Communication and Teamwork
Good communication skills for collaborating with team members and supervisors.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Measuring tools and instruments, such as micrometers, verniers, callipers, height gauges or other specialized measuring instrumentsCNC drilling, milling, turning, and cutting machinesPhysical Demands
Walking, standing, sitting, kneeling, bending, and repetitive hand / wrist / finger / arm movements while using equipment in order to perform the job.Physical Environment
