Job Description : Use digital simulation and modelling to design, test, and optimize industrial automation systems in a virtual environment before they are built.
Reporting to : Controls Engineering Supervisor
Primary Duties and Responsibilities :
- Setup and perform dynamic simulation analysis on designs.
- Develop and maintain intelligent models of equipment.
- PLC program development using Studio 5000 and TIA Portal.
- Lead the virtual commissioning of projects.
- Robot programming (Fanuc, ABB, Nachi, Kuka)
- Configure robot TCP’s and develop optimized robot paths.
- Work with a team of engineering and manufacturing specialists to develop process flow.
- Perform cycle time analysis and optimization on existing and new processes.
- Maintain project timing, meeting deadlines on deliverables.
- Promote and contribute to a continuous improvement culture.
- Other duties as required.
Requirements / Experience :
3+ years robot and / or PLC programming.2+ years Process Simulate or similar simulation software experience.SolidWorks experience a plus.Ability to read mechanical and electrical assembly drawings.Strong problem-solving skills.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Valid Ontario Driver’s license and Canadian Passport.Education :
Electrical Technology Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering
