Job Description

Job Description : Use digital simulation and modelling to design, test, and optimize industrial automation systems in a virtual environment before they are built.

Reporting to : Controls Engineering Supervisor

Primary Duties and Responsibilities :

Setup and perform dynamic simulation analysis on designs.
Develop and maintain intelligent models of equipment.
PLC program development using Studio 5000 and TIA Portal.
Lead the virtual commissioning of projects.
Robot programming (Fanuc, ABB, Nachi, Kuka)
Configure robot TCP’s and develop optimized robot paths.
Work with a team of engineering and manufacturing specialists to develop process flow.
Perform cycle time analysis and optimization on existing and new processes.
Maintain project timing, meeting deadlines on deliverables.
Promote and contribute to a continuous improvement culture.
Other duties as required.

Requirements / Experience :

3+ years robot and / or PLC programming.

2+ years Process Simulate or similar simulation software experience.

SolidWorks experience a plus.

Ability to read mechanical and electrical assembly drawings.

Strong problem-solving skills.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Valid Ontario Driver’s license and Canadian Passport.

Education :

Electrical Technology Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering
