Position Summary
Orillia Soldiers’ Memorial Hospital Foundation raises and stewards funds to support Orillia Soldiers’ Memorial Hospital (OSMH). The Foundation’s mission is to support the Hospital in its quest to become a centre of excellence and an integral leader in shaping the future of healthcare for our community and our region.
OSMH is a hospital where you can receive world-class healthcare just down the street from where you live or spend your summers. A place where you are more than just a number and are treated with warmth and compassion. A hospital that offers wraparound care that puts you at ease.
The small-town nature of our hospital offers patients an added dimension of care not often seen in big-city institutions. Many of our physicians dedicate their entire lives to caring for our community and in doing so, build strong relationships with the patients they serve. These deep connections span generations and create a calming familiarity not easily duplicated in other care settings. This translates into meaningful, personal care and enhanced healing for our patients.
What’s more, OSMH is a community hospital providing critical regional health services to the population of North Simcoe Muskoka, a population of 540,000. This includes communities as far east as Lindsay, as far west as Collingwood, Parry Sound to the north and Alliston to the south. For a community hospital, Soldiers’ exceeds expectations in the level of care it provides to an area of this size. Regional programs include the Kidney Care Program of Simcoe Muskoka, the Regional Sexual Assault and Domestic Violence Treatment Centre, the Simcoe Muskoka Regional Cancer Centre (SMRCC) Satellite Clinic, the Paediatric Oncology Group of Ontario (POGO) Satellite Clinic, the Regional Women and Children Program and the Level II Regional Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU).
