Job Description

The House of Commons Office of the Chief Executive Administrator is currently looking to staff the Senior Administrative Coordinator position.

In this role, the incumbent is accountable for providing a wide range of specialized administrative, financial, logistical, technical and information management support services for the Chief Executive Administrator. Responsibilities include the coordination of responses to enquiries / requests for information from Members’ Offices, the Speaker’s Office, the Clerk’s Office, and House Administration managers.

The person must be able to work onsite 5 days a week.

Qualifications

Education  :

  • College diploma in office administration, business administration or information management, or equivalent proficiency obtained through a combination of secondary schooling, experience and training.
  • Experience :

  • Experience in providing executive and office management services to a senior official;
  • Demonstrated experience managing calendars, managing meetings and event logistics;
  • Exceptional organizational skills that reflect ability to perform, adapt and prioritize multiple tasks with excellent attention to detail;
  • Experience conducting research, gathering information, and using compilation techniques in order to quickly respond to requests for past precedent, briefing notes and decisions.
  • Demonstrated proactive approaches to problem-solving, with strong decision-making capability;
  • Experience with Microsoft Suite applications;
  • Ability to maintain a high level of integrity and discretion in handling confidential information.
  • Asset  :

  • An understanding of the clients, culture and vision of the House of Commons and / or a parliamentary partner.
