Were looking for a friendly, organized, and upbeat Host to be the first point of contact for guests dining at Black Rock Oceanfront Resorts signature restaurant in Ucluelet, BC. This is more than a greeting role; our Hosts help set the tone for a memorable dining experience and keep things running smoothly in a fast-paced, guest-focused environment.

- Has strong communication skills and can juggle in-person greetings, phone calls, and reservation systems with ease
- Stays calm and friendly under pressure, even when it gets busy
- Works well with both the service team and the kitchen to ensure a seamless flow of guests
- Has an eye for cleanliness and helps maintain the appearance of the dining room between seatings
Key responsibilities include :
Greeting and seating guests in a welcoming and timely mannerAnswering phones, responding to guest inquiries, and managing reservationsInforming guests of daily specials and coordinating with the service teamClearing, cleaning, and resetting tables as neededSupporting cleanliness and organizational standards throughout the shiftFollowing all health, safety, and hygiene protocolsSupporting teammates and jumping in where needed to keep service running smoothlyThis is an ideal opportunity for someone looking to grow their skills in hospitality while working alongside a dedicated team in a spectacular coastal setting.
Additional qualifications :
Fluency in English (spoken and written); other languages an assetGood grooming and hygiene habits to reflect our professional imageFlexible availability including evenings, weekends, and holidaysPrevious experience in food & beverage or hospitality is an asset, but not requiredPlease note : Due to limited availability, staff accommodation is not available for this position. Candidates must already hold a valid Canadian work permit or be eligible to work in Canada.
