The Branch Technology and ATM team is searching for a Senior DevOps Engineer to join our team. As a DevOps Engineer you will partner across 4+ cross functional agile teams within the Sales, Service, Branch Tooling, and ATM domains to design, develop and maintain CI / CD pipelines.
This role will help bring to life improvements which enable teams to deliver features more predictably and safely, ultimately facilitating RBC advisors to deliver the best in-class customer experience.

What will you do?
- Responsible for gathering requirements for DevOps pipelines and recommending approaches & implement new DevOps pipelines.
- Assess requirements and make recommendations, where applicable, for alternative solutions / technology.
- Understand end state requirements in order to adjust DevOps pipelines.
- Partner and actively contribute with agile teams to identify gaps that can be enhanced with DevOps automation.
- Partner with release management to ensure deployments in pre-production are done via CI / CD process.
- Create technical documentation and share knowledge back to the community & support production releases as necessary to ensure successful delivery of code.
- In this role, you will communicate and interact frequently with RBC partners and / or employees located across Canada and / or worldwide.
What do you need to succeed?
Must-have
- Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related degree with 3-5 years in DevOps or Software development.
- Hands-on experience in script development using scripting languages (e.g., Groovy, Java, Python and PowerShell).
- Experience with Openshift and SRE tooling - Dynatrace, Elastic, Grafana, Splunk etc.
- Knowledge of CI / CD process using Jenkins, UrbanCodeDeploy and Ansible.
- Able to adapt quickly, problem solve, and willingness to learn.
- Able to effectively prioritize own workload and focus across many streams of work.
Nice-to-have
Experience with WebSphere and / or Mainframe.
