Clearwater Seafoods is currently recruiting for an HR Generalist, Global Supply Chain (GSC). The position is a full-time position and is located in Bedford, N.S. The position is a permanent full-time position located out of our Bedford, NS office, but will be required to regularly travel to processing facilities in Nova Scotia (Cape Breton) and Newfoundland.
Purpose of Position
Purpose of Position : The HR Generalist, GSC is responsible for working with the Global Supply Chain division, specifically in land-based operations to assist with staffing, organizational development, training, compensation, disability management, and employee relations in supporting the overall business and Human Resources\' objectives.

Qualifications
Minimum 3 years' experience in HR plant related functions.Post-secondary degree / diploma in Human Resources Management.Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite : Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel.Extensive knowledge of Nova Scotia and Newfoundland employment legislation.Experience working in a unionized environment.HR designation CHRP is an asset.Responsibilities
Human Resources leadership for Clearwater's land-based operations, specifically for our processing plants in NovaScotia, Cape Breton, and Newfoundland.Partner with the processing facilities employees and management teams.Execute HR functions within the facilities focusing on supporting the achievement of both functional and keyperformance objectives for the plants.Coordinate and train company policies, processes, systems, and reporting activities within the plants.Ensure compliance with provincial and federal regulations and legislation pertaining to employment and labor.Lead Workers\' Compensation and Disability Management Programs including claims management.Support Clearwater\'s First Nations Employment Programs within Global Supply Chain.Manage day-to-day administration of the collective bargaining agreements, such as grievance administration inpartnership with internal and external stakeholders.Manage employee relations issues effectively within the plants.Coach and counsel managers and supervisors in the facilities regarding employee and labor relations issues inorder to enable them to address employee issues at the floor level.Ensure consistent delivery of benefit programs within the processing facilities in partnership with the HumanResources\' division.Support the staffing process including sourcing, interviewing, testing, job offers, and new employee orientations.Measure plant staffing effectiveness including turnover analysis and action planning.Other duties as reasonably assigned.#J-18808-Ljbffr
