Quality Engineer - CONTRACT (6-12 months)
MONDAY-FRIDAY
Quality Engineering
- Develop, revise, and maintain Testing Procedures, SOPs, Work Instructions, and Inspection Data Sheets to support consistent and reliable quality control.
- Oversee Document Control to ensure all quality and process documents are accurate, current, and compliant with ISO 9001 standards.
- Lead and coordinate Change Management activities, ensuring all quality- and process-related changes follow approved workflows and are properly implemented.
- Manage the measuring system calibration program—including internal checks and external calibration—to ensure measurement accuracy and compliance.
- Support the issuance of Quality Alerts for non-conforming materials or products and deliver related training to production teams.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives focused on improving product quality, process efficiency, and overall plant performance.
Health & Safety
- Promote and support a culture of continuous improvement in workplace safety.
- Ensure adherence to all safety, environmental, quality, and operational efficiency standards.
- Maintain compliance with corporate policies as well as regulatory and local safety/environmental requirements.
- Document and provide training on process improvements, procedural changes, and best practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering; a two-year Master’s degree is an asset.
- Minimum 5 years of quality engineering experience in a manufacturing environment; automotive sector experience preferred.
- Strong understanding of World Class Manufacturing (WCM), Lean methodologies, and ISO 9001 QMS; ISO 9001 Internal Auditor certification is an advantage.
- Proficiency in Inspection Methods, GD&T, blueprint reading, 5 Whys, 8D, SPC, PPAP, FMEA, and Control Plans.
- Excellent communication skills, analytical capability, and high attention to detail.
- Strong collaboration skills and ability to work effectively within a team.
- Fluency in English.
