Commercial Litigation Lawyer

We are looking for an experienced Commercial Litigation Lawyer to join our client's dynamic team in Toronto, Ontario. This role offers the opportunity to handle a diverse range of complex legal matters, including construction disputes, negligence claims, and fraud investigations. Ideal candidates will bring a strong analytical approach, exceptional advocacy skills, and a commitment to delivering outstanding client service.

Responsibilities:

• Handle a variety of commercial litigation cases, such as construction disputes, negligence claims, and fraud investigations.

• Provide strategic advice and representation in matters involving bankruptcy, insolvency, and restructuring.

• Draft and review legal documents, including pleadings, briefs, and agreements, with precision and attention to detail.

• Conduct thorough legal research to support case strategies and ensure compliance with relevant laws.

• Manage files independently, taking responsibility for all aspects of case progression.

• Advocate effectively for clients in negotiations, mediations, and court proceedings.

• Collaborate with colleagues and clients to develop practical solutions to complex legal issues.

• Investigate and enforce recovery actions in fraud-related cases.

• Demonstrate superior practice management skills to meet deadlines and prioritize tasks efficiently.

• Maintain a high level of client service in all interactions.

• A minimum of 4 years of experience in commercial litigation, with exposure to complex cases.

• Proven ability to manage files independently and resolve legal issues effectively.

• Exceptional drafting skills, including the ability to prepare detailed legal documents.

• Strong analytical capabilities and attention to detail.

• Excellent advocacy and negotiation skills, both in and out of court.

• Solid understanding of bankruptcy, insolvency, and restructuring processes.

• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

• Commitment to delivering high-quality client service and maintaining integrity.
