Quadra is looking for an Account Manager to grow and manage a territory focused on Oilfield Service customers across Alberta. This role is ideal for someone who combines technical knowledge with strong commercial instincts and enjoys developing long-term partnerships while driving new business across a broad chemical portfolio.

What would be your main responsibilities as a Account Manager in our Industrial Chemicals division?

  • Grow sales with existing Oilfield Service customers while actively developing new business
  • Build strong relationships with field, technical, and procurement contacts
  • Identify customer challenges and position customized chemical solutions including commodities, specialties, and blended products
  • Manage a defined territory through regular face-to-face visits
  • Lead negotiations for new agreements and contract renewals
  • Work closely with Product Managers, Marketing, and Technical teams to develop and close opportunities
  • Maintain accurate pipeline visibility, forecasts, and CRM activity (Salesforce)
  • Participate in industry events and maintain a strong presence in the market

This is a high-impact, growth-focused role with direct influence on territory performance.

What are the main qualifications required to have success in this position?

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Science, Business, Marketing, or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience in Oilfield Services chemical sales
  • Strong network of industry relationships in Alberta
  • Solid understanding of oilfield applications across drilling, cementing, completion, and production
  • Experience working with commodities, specialty chemicals, and blended chemical packages
  • Proven track record in B2B sales, business development, and territory growth
  • Strong negotiation skills and commercial acumen
  • Self-motivated, independent, and comfortable managing a large territory
  • Experience using CRM tools (Salesforce preferred)
  • Valid driver’s license and passport
  • Willingness to travel approximately 40% including overnights

Compensation Information

The annual base salary for this position is expected to range between $73,400 and $114,700. Please note that this base salary range is provided for reference purposes only. Individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, education, and experience.

Base salary represents just one component of our overall compensation package. This role is also eligible for a generous incentive program and comprehensive benefits. Quadra’s salary ranges are benchmarked against the market and determined by role and level. Final base salary will be aligned with the selected candidate’s qualifications, skill set, competencies, and work location.
