PRODUCT ENGINEER / TECHNICIAN

As a Product Engineer / Technician, you will learn and specialize in fiber cable assemblies including the design, development and testing of products – ensuring they meet technical standards and client requirements. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance product performance, quality and compliance while driving improvements in manufacturing processes.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES AS A PRODUCT ENGINEER / TECHNICIAN :

Product Design & Development : Design fiber optic cable assemblies and create detailed documentation.

Material Selection & Testing : Choose appropriate materials for durability, site specific conditions and test performance.

Testing & Quality Assurance : Conduct product tests and identify areas for improvement.

Technical Support : Provide troubleshooting support to manufacturing, customers, and sales teams.

Process Improvement : Work with teams to enhance manufacturing efficiency and reduce costs.

Compliance : Ensure products meet industry standards and stay updated on technological advancements.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR IN A PRODUCT ENGINEER / TECHNICIAN :

Post-secondary education in Mechanical Engineering or similar

Excellent technical aptitude and ability to pick up new concepts quickly

Strong problem-solving and communication skills

Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
