Overview
Fastfrate has grown from an intermodal LTL carrier into a diverse group of five companies operating 40 terminals and final‑mile hubs across Canada and the United States. The Group delivers end‑to‑end supply chain solutions, including intermodal LTL and TL, logistics, cross‑border, drayage, transload, warehousing, distribution, and final‑mile B2B and B2C services.
Responsibilities
- Generating leads through cold calling, networking and referrals
- Managing a balanced sales funnel and executing all steps of the sales process from target to close to continually secure new business
- Exceeding all standards for prospecting calls, presentations, proposals and closes
- Ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction and maintaining close contact with all customers, including follow‑up on concerns or other issues
- Providing a solution‑based sales approach to drive new business with high‑end premium customers and high‑value products
- Negotiating contracts and rate agreements
- Developing, executing and monitoring strategic and tactical goals to maximize sales, profit, and ensure sales targets are met or exceeded
- Providing documented activity reports of sales efforts on a daily, weekly and monthly basis
- Providing ongoing reporting and analysis, including territory trending, sales reports / analysis, CRM reports, trade spending analysis, expense reports, etc.
- Following all company policies, ethics and company procedures
- Performing other duties as required
Qualifications
Post‑secondary degree is preferred, but not essential if a candidate has appropriate sales training or experience2–5 years of experience is requiredExcellent knowledge of North American transportation modes and customersExtremely organized, flexible, proactive and creativeExcellent selling, presentation and communication skillsPC competency in PowerPoint, Word and Excel programStrong MS Office skillsStrong time management skillsCreative and effective problem‑solving abilityDetail and deadline oriented, with the ability to effectively prioritize and multi‑task in a busy environment to meet tight deadlinesStrong verbal communication skills and interpersonal skillsStrong customer service focusAbility to deal with rejectionProven ability to build and maintain strong business relationshipsPossession of a valid license and a suitable vehicle (extensive travel required)Travel within Alberta / other Provinces and some US travel may be required (25%)How to Apply
