Job description

Title : Payroll Technician

Salary : 75-85K (Relative to Experience)

Location : West Island

Start : ASAP

Responsibilities

Process bi-weekly payrolls for several provinces and prepare journal entry reports.

Responsible for all time and attendance functions for all DCP and agency employees, create employee profiles, maintain work schedules and time cards, maintain holidays and accrued hours, train supervisors as needed, produce all required reports.

Verify new hire and agency employee files prior to first payroll processing.

Handle all required annual payroll declarations.

Handle bi-weekly defined contribution pension plan and group RRSP contributions and reconciliations.

Periodically update employee payroll information

Support initiatives for continuous evaluation and improvement of internal controls.

Provide reports to external departments, including all time and attendance records.

Participate in payroll-related general ledger account reconciliations

Participate in audits and special projects as required.

Support initiatives for continuous evaluation and improvement of internal controls.

Provide cross-training in all areas of payroll processing

Qualifications

ACP or PCP Course required

2-3 years of experience

Bilingual (An asset)

Experience working with ADP or other ERP system (an asset)
