Job Description
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Undertake research of various government agencies regarding environmental issues, environmental legislation and waste management issues.
Assist with any advertising / promotional programs and events.
Conduct outreach and community engagement projects
Gather, organize and interpret data
Perform clerical and administrative duties as assigned.
Completing mail-outs.
Utilize Microsoft Word to document projects, programs, research and draft correspondence
Enter statistical information using Excel.
Assist with waste audits
Audit / verification of collection locations
Promote County of Simcoe Solid Waste Management projects and programs
Participate in pilot projects and initiatives
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Must be a registered full-time post-secondary student during the preceding academic year and be returning to school on a full-time basis in the next academic year.
Creative with strong communication and teamwork skills.
Valid Driver's License with access to a vehicle required.
Environmental background would be an asset.
Computer literacy in MS Office, CorelDraw, and Adobe would be an asset.
Excellent data entry and accuracy skills.
Strong presentation and communication skills
Able to work independently, and problem solve
Criminal Records Check with that is less than six (6) months old at time of hire required
