Reporting to: Transportation Supervisor & Dispatcher
The Local Truck Driver – Flatbed & Dump is responsible for the safe, timely, and efficient transportation of raw materials and finished concrete products between Techo-Bloc’s suppliers, manufacturing facilities, warehouse locations, and customer sites. This role is critical in supporting production continuity and ensuring high service standards across operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely transport raw materials from suppliers to the Production Facility in Ayr, Ontario.
- Deliver concrete blocks and finished products to Techo-Bloc manufacturing sites, warehouses, and customer locations.
- Operate flatbed and dump (tipper) trucks in accordance with company procedures and safety standards.
- Secure loads properly on flatbed platforms to ensure safe transportation.
- Perform mandatory daily vehicle and mechanical inspections and report any defects or concerns.
- Accurately complete all required transportation documentation and use company-provided technological tools efficiently.
- Follow all company safety policies during loading, unloading, and driving activities.
- Comply with all applicable transportation laws and regulations, including hours of service, load securement, weight, and dimensional requirements.
- Maintain a professional and safety-focused approach at all times while representing Techo-Bloc on the road and at job sites.
Qualifications
- Valid AZ driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Minimum of 3 years of professional driving experience
- Proven experience operating dump trailers
- Strong knowledge and adherence to safety and transportation regulations
- Proficiency with electronic logging tools, including E-Log (Motive)
