Must have experience delivering power and utility projects with mechanical / electrical systems in a construction, mining or O & G setting
We’re looking for an Project Delivery Lead to join a leader in the power and engineered utility solutions industry.
This role plays a key part in overseeing project execution at the site level including installation, commissioning, and demobilization. You’ll coordinate internal teams and contractors to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality delivery of complex technical projects across North America.
Project Delivery Lead Responsibilities :
- Manage daily site operations for assigned projects, ensuring alignment with project plans and timelines
- Act as the on-the-ground point of contact for client communication, technical coordination, and issue resolution
- Work closely with the Project Manager to monitor risk areas and recommend adjustments as needed
- Confirm all work permits and safety documentation are complete and active before work begins
- Lead on-site meetings to coordinate multiple workstreams and maintain progress
- Ensure proper execution of installation standards, testing protocols, and commissioning checklists
- Proactively address safety, quality, and performance concerns by escalating them to the appropriate channels
- Collaborate with supply chain and logistics teams to optimize scheduling and resource allocation
- Support billing and documentation processes by liaising with internal finance and administration teams
Maintain a strong focus on safety and environmental compliance throughout the project lifecycle
The successful candidate has :
A degree in a construction related field or equivalent experience, with 7–10 years of project leadership in a technical or industrial settingPMP designation and experience with mechanical / electrical systems (e.g., HVAC, generators, switchgear)Exposure to mechanical or electrical systems such as HVAC, generators, or temporary power solutionsExperience working with ERP platforms and Microsoft Office SuiteConfidence in interpreting technical documentation such as P&IDs and site schematicsAbility to manage multiple crews and vendors on active job sitesStrong communication, planning, and problem-solving skillsA proactive approach to managing tight deadlines and shifting prioritiesProven ability to work hands-on in the field while maintaining a strategic view of project goalsA commitment to safety as a top priority, both personally and across the team
Compensation and benefits :
$110,000 - $130,000+ base salaryFull benefits packageTravel coverage for field workRole is based remotely in the U.S. or Canada, ideally near a major airport or depot locationFollows a rotating schedule based on project demands, with extended site time and built-in rest periods
