Contract Duration : February 1, 2026 – January 31, 2029

Schedule : Approx. 728 hours per year (≈ 2 clinical days / week)

Compensation : Up to $225 / hour

Job Description

As part of a professional services contract with the Correctional Service of Canada (CSC), we are seeking an experienced, detail-oriented, and professional dentist to provide comprehensive dental care to inmates at Warkworth Institution, located at Warkworth (Ontario).

The successful candidate will work within an interdisciplinary team alongside nursing, medical, and administrative staff in a structured and secure environment focused on delivering quality dental care.

Responsibilities

• Provide complete and safe dental care in accordance with CSC policies and protocols;
• Perform examinations, diagnoses, treatments, and preventive interventions;
• Supervise a dental assistant or work with your own assistant, if applicable;
• Manage dental emergencies and prioritize treatment needs;
• Maintain accurate and complete clinical and administrative records;
• Participate in clinical meetings and contribute to program reporting and follow-up.

Qualifications

Licensed and in good standing with the Royal College of Dental Surgeons of Ontario (RCDSO);

Minimum 6 months of recent clinical experience within the past 2 years;

Ability to obtain a Government of Canada reliability security clearance;

Demonstrated clinical judgment, professionalism, and ethical standards;

Comfortable working in an correctional environment with diverse populations.

Contract Terms

Hourly rate up to $225 / hour, all-inclusive (dentist + assistant);

All equipment and materials provided on-site by CSC;

Proof of professional liability insurance required.
