POSITION DESCRIPTION :

Garden Valley School Division invites applications for the full-time (1.0 FTE) permanent position of Middle Years Teacher at Border Valley School effective September 2, 2025 .

Garden Valley School Division is a dynamic and thriving educational community located in the heartland of Manitoba's beautiful Pembina Valley Region. With a student population of about 4,300, the division encompasses 14 schools in the communities of Winkler, Plum Coulee, Schanzenfeld, Hochfeld, Blumenfeld, Reinland, and Blumengart.

REQUIRED AND / OR PREFERED QUALIFICATIONS :

• Hold or be eligible to hold a valid Manitoba Teaching Certificate
• Prior experience teaching in a middle years classroom would be an asset.
• The ability to work alongside teachers, colleagues and contribute collaboratively as a team member.
• Satisfactory Criminal Record Check & Child Abuse Registry Check

SCHOOL INFORMATION :

Border Valley School is a K-8 school located in a rural setting, a short 20-minute drive south of the City of Winkler. The school serves several smaller communities and rural homes in the surrounding area. Border Valley has a student population of approximately 100 students, a teaching staff of 13 and a support staff of 11. The size of the school community allows staff to provide strong academic programming while building positive student relationships.
